Hey y’all! I want to take a moment to explain in a little more detail what is going on, and hopefully dispel any concerns.

To make a long story short, I had to change the name of ESO Xbox Sales (ESOXS) because it was in violation of multiple trademarks and copyrights. It’s been a long while since ESOXS was first created, and at the time, no one really thought it would grow as big as it’s gotten. I have not received any cease and desist orders, but I certainly don’t want any, so the decision was made to change the name now rather than risk losing everything.

My programmer, graphics guy, and I pondered over new names for a couple of days before finally settling on Tamriel Savings Co. Not only does it have an old school “Savings & Loan” business vibe, it’s also more generalized allowing us freedom to expand, should we ever decide to. The website isn’t the only part of the project being freshened up. Since the Discord bot and online search tool are generated from a program separate from the actual database, they now have their own name, the TSC Price Fetcher. We also have a baby project that will adopt the name TSC Tax Authority.

For those of you who are a member of my in-game guild, attend the bi-weekly auction we participate in, or even try to catch me in game, come August I’ll no longer be rocking an ESOXS guild tabard. As a division of the Tamriel Savings Co., the guild is being renamed Ministry of Fortunes. It’s actually the name chosen when the guild was first founded, years before this project existed, and I thought it was a great way to pay homage to my little in-game family while still respecting the project theme.

What happened to the Play Store app?

This question has popped up a few times recently, and though I’ve addressed it multiple times before, I’m addressing it again for those who missed something along the way.

The Google PlayStore app was discontinued primarily due to 2 reasons:

  1. I couldn’t launch in the Apple Store, and it just didn’t seem fair to offer the service only to Android users. The app can still be used though, by both Apple and Android users, through AppSheet (linked here) or your web browser (linked here)
  2. Once we developed the TSC Price Fetcher tools and saw just how much people loved them, we decided they would be our primary focus. If I had the resources to build an app from scratch, I would do that in a heartbeat, but it’s unlikely that will ever happen. Remember, we don’t get paid to do this, we aren’t affiliated with ZoS, Bethesda, Xbox, etc., and we can only do so much. “We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl…” – Pink Floyd

If you still have the ESOXS PlayStore app on your device, you should probably delete it as it’s not being updated anymore.

If you or anyone you know has concerns regarding anything Tamriel Savings Co. related, hit me up! Use the Contact Us form on the site, message the page on Facebook or Band, or shoot me a message on Xbox. My door is always open.

We love what we do here, and I hope y’all keep on loving it too. Happy trading! – SavageAFmk

P.S. I’m hoping to have the new TSC logo and graphics up within the next week or so. ☺
