March 30, 2020 – Update
Hey y’all! The proposed changes were liked by many and shot down by none. With that being said, I will be implementing several updates over the next 24 hours. During this time, the app (browser & Android) will be offline intermittently, so you will likely need to use the website to access sales data. I have provided the link below and it has all the same info you would find in the app, just in a different format. Thank you in advance for your patience during this time!

Hey y’all! This will be a bit winded, but I am indebted to any who take the time to help me out here. The future of the database we all love is at stake (ok, it’s not THAT serious, but it is to me!
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how prices are reflected and what they say to you, the people who reference the information. Currently, prices are shown in a range of options, Minimum, Lower Range, Median, Upper Range and Maximum. While this may seem satisfactory, what I see behind the scenes bothers me.
The cause of this unease would be grossly under/over priced sales and the affect they have on the middle 3 values. For example, a Dreugh Wax sold for 1000 gold, even though they’re currently going for 8000. That one under priced sale could be the difference between a Median of 6000 or 8000. I have a feeling most of you would rather see most common sale prices
, rather than prices which might not be fair market value.
With that being said, I’ve come up with an idea which involves a complete rewrite of the database. The image below shows what information the database currently provides alongside the changes I’m proposing. I’ve also included two examples so you can see how the changes affect the numbers.
Please take a look and share your thoughts, questions or suggestions. No constructive feedback will be ignored!
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! – SavageAFmk
